Laundry Assistant

To provide clean linen and personal laundry to all residents. Ensure sufficient and clean stock of linen, at all times, reporting any shortages.

Job Summary: To provide clean linen and personal laundry to all residents.

Outline of duties

• Ensure sufficient and clean stock of linen, at all times, reporting any shortages.
• Ensure that resident’s clothes are well maintained and report major faults.
• Do minor mending on residents clothing e.g. ironing, labelling, mending, etc.
• Assist in monitoring systems of work within an agreed budget.
• Ensure a healthy and safe environment in the laundry at work at all time.
• Ensure that all mechanical and manual equipment is kept in a safe and clean condition.
• Complete all appropriate records.
• Carry out any reasonable instructions from the Home Manager.
• Attend all relevant mandatory/statutory training sessions, as directed.
